Met Éireann Issues Yellow Weather Warning With Heavy Rain Predicted

Four counties have been issued with a yellow weather raining today, with spot flooding also predicted.

The four counties Dublin, Louth, Meath and Wicklow, have been issued with a warning from the national forecaster, taking effect from 10pm tonight until 6am Saturday, with the possibility of heavy rain and spot flooding.

This morning is is to remain mostly dry, with scattered showers to move in from the west, with some of these showers expected to be heavy with a chance of isolated thunderstorms and hail. Spot flooding is also forecasted.

Temperatures are to range between 14 and 17 degrees,

As for Friday night, further heavy rain and scattered showers are expected overnight. They are to merge with longer spells of rain across the north and eastern regions of the country, which may cause spot flooding in places.

Temperatures are to drop to between 6 and 9 degrees. 

Looking ahead to the weekend, Met Éireann have predicted more unsettled weather with rain or showers, while it is to remain cool for that time of year.

Clouds and rain are to linger across Saturday morning, especially in the east. The rest of the country is to see a dry start with sunny spells.

Showers have also been predicted for the north and west, extending into other areas throughout the afternoon and evening, with temperatures to remain between 13 and 17 degrees.

The national forecaster have also predicted a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers. Temperatures are to drop between and 5 and 9 degrees.
