As for Thursday night, it is to remain dry with a mix of clear spells as well as some scattered showers. Longer clear spells are expected to persist overnight as winds fall light. Lowest temperatures are to remain between 6 and 9 degrees.

As for Friday, Met Éireann have predicted settled and mainly dry weather throughout. Later in the day, the sunshine will turn hazy with a touch of clouds building across the northern part of the country. Temperatures are to remain between 16 and 20 degrees with light northerly breezes.

That night is to remain dry and largely clear overnight with some scattered cloud across northern counties, lowest temperatures remaining between 6 and 9 degrees.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday is to be dry with long sunny spells, with a touch of cloud expected for Ulster, according to the national forecaster.

Highest temperatures are to remain between 16 and 20 degrees, warmest weather expected for Munster and South Leinster.

Met Éireann said, “Latest models would suggest that high pressure will remain for Sunday bringing plenty of dry and sunny weather throughout. Temperatures look set to reach around 17 to 21 degrees".
