More CCTV is set to be rolled out in Dublin's north inner city under new plans being brought to Cabinet in the coming weeks.

Taoiseach Simon Harris is set to return from New York today after his tije spoent at the UN Security briefing and will inform his colleagues on a strategic plan which recommends more camera surveillance in areas where there is high anti-social behaviour and drug dealing.

Anti-social behaviour in the north inner city has been an ongoing concern - particularly since the Dublin riots last year.

The North Inner City Strategic Plan is due to for publication on Thursday.  There's also plans in the works to allow more kids to attend out-of-school activities - by supporting and creating more clubs for primary school children in the area.

There's still as yet no set date for the release of the Dublin City taskforce report - with Taoiseach Simon Harris believed to be bringing the findings to cabinet within the next two weeks.
