Noel and Liam Gallagher have hinted that an Oasis reunion could be on the cards after teasing that a major announcement is to be made this week.

Speculation has been ramped up after a short clip in the same style and font of the iconic Oasis logo was shared on the brothers' social media accounts, as well as the official Oasis X account, which appeared to suggest that a big announcement was set for Tuesday.

The clip which you can check out below, shows the date "27.08.24", before showing the date "8am".

According to reports, the band are set to perform a string of live shows next year, including Wembley Stadium and Heaton Park in the UK, while rumours of potential headline slot at Glastonbury have also been spreading.

On Sunday evening, Liam Gallagher performed at his headline Reading Festival, where he dedicated a live rendition of Oasis' 'Half The World Away' to his brother Noel, saying:  "I wanna dedicate this song to Noel Gallagher".

Oasis famously split up in 2009 following a backstage row between Noel and Liam Gallagher in Paris, which saw Noel leave the band.
