Alec Baldwin has announced a new reality TV series based on his family.

News of this comes as the US actor prepares to face his trial for charges of involuntary manslaughter over the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set for western film Rust in October 2021.

Baldwin who shares seven children with his wife Hilaria, has announced that his family will be the focus of a TLC reality show about their life, which will arrive in 2025.

The couple confirmed this news via Instagram, jokingly introducing themselves with a joke about their sizeable brood.

“We have an announcement to make", Hilaria can be heard saying in the clip, which also shows footage of their children running around their home, as well as posing for family photos with their parents.

To this, Baldwin replies  “Good God, no,” , which prompts his wife to reassure him: “No, definitely not, we’re done having kids".

This video ends with the family saying in unison: “We are the Baldwins. And we’re coming to TLC", before Baldwin quips:  “God help you all".

Alec Baldwin and Hilaria have been married since July 2012. and the couple welcomed their first child in August 2013. The actor was previously married to actress Kim Basinger, with whom he shares a daughter called Ireland.

Confirmation of this upcoming TLC reality comes as Baldwin awaits his trial for involuntary manslaughter, after a US judge had denied his request to throw out the criminal case. He has pleaded not guilty to the charge.

If found guilty, Alec Baldwin could face up to 18 months in prison, the same sentence which was handed down to Rust armourer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed after she was convicted of the same charge.
