Jeremy Renner is to star in his first movie since his snowplough accident last year.

On New Year's Day 2023, Renner was involved in a skiing accident at Mt Ski-Rose Lake Tahoe where the actor has a residence. He was airlifted to an intensive care unit, before later revealing that he broke over 30 bones, and was left with "blunt chest trauma" and "orthopaedic injuries".

Despite this, Jeremy Renner had made a full recovery, and will join the cast of Rian Johnson's Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. Last week, Johnson had confirmed via X, that the movie was "about to go into  production".

The cast also includes former James Bond star Daniel Craig, who will portray the role of detective Benoit Blanc in the new murder mystery. It is to be release in 2025.

Other cast members also include The Crown star Josh O'Connor, Irish actor Andrew Scott, Fatal Attraction star Glenn Close, Scandal's Kerry Washington, and Priscilla's Cailee Spaeny.
