Corrie's Gail Set 'To Marry For Seventh Time' In ITV Soap

Iconic Coronation Street character Gail, is set to marry for a seventh time on the ITV soap, according to reports.

This comes months after Helen Worth who has played Gail on the soap since 1974, announced that she would be leaving the soap earlier this year after 50 years. 

In her time on the cobbles, Gail has been married six times, including to Brian Tilsley (twice), Martin Platt, Richard Hillman, Joe McIntyre, and Michael Rodwell.

According to reports in The Sunday People/The Mirror, an unnamed source has hinted that wedding bells could be about to chime for Gail for a seventh time.

"The wedding scenes are being filmed and when they air, viewers will be gripped", the source said. "As with any soap wedding, they will have to wait and see whether Gail makes it down the aisle or not". 

The source added: "With a character as popular as her, they will be hoping she finally gets a happy ending". 

Recent Corrie scenes have aired a return to the show for Jessie Chadwick (John Thompson), Gail's old friend, and former flame of Eileen Grimshaw, Gail's arch enemy.
