Ed Sheeran Calls On Others To 'Be Kind' Following Death Of Liam Payne

Ed Sheeran has called on others to "be kind" in the wake of the tragic death of former One Direction singer Liam Payne this week.

The singer died in Argentina this week, after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires. He was 31 years old. 

Payne's death has sent shockwaves around the music world, with a myriad of musicians and household names paying tribute to him on social media.

Paying his own tribute to Liam Payne, Ed Sheeran said that he was "at a loss for words". 

“My thoughts are with his family and loved ones, every memory I have with him is a great one, just such a heart-breaking situation. Be kind. X", Sheeran wrote on Instagram. 

Liam Payne found fame as a teenager when he burst onto the scene with One Direction, following their appearance on the X Factor in 2010. The band also featured Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, and Zayn Malik.
