Ireland's Classic Hits Radio is proud to announce our four finalists for this year’s New Local Hero as part of Irish Music Month.

We received hundreds for entries over the past two weeks from some incredible new Irish talent. Given the hight quality of song entries it was a very difficult decision to narrow the shortlist to just four.

Here were the four candidates for 2024:

I.F. Band, Kildare

Song: The Ballad of the Lost

The band got together when they were 14 years old. The first song they recorded was Something about you. They have done some charity work. They played in the sound house.

Dan O'Keeffe, Cork

Song: Summer Lights

Dan O'Keeffe is an Indie Folk/Rock singer-songwriter based in Cork City. With a genuine passion for song writing and lively melodies, Dan draws influence from Radiohead, Kings of Leon and Jeff Buckley. He recently released his first single "Summer Lights".

Emma Noodles, Kildare

Song: Space Cowboy
