The 'Lord Of The Dance' and 'Riverdance' star is suing the Austin Newport Group limited, a main contractor who carried out repair works for fire damage caused to Castlehyde in 2016, as well as the insurers Castlehyde Am Amlin Underwriting Ltd AXA XL Underwriting Ltd, and Hamilton Agency Ltd.
Flatley is suing both parties, alleging negligence, deceit, breach of heath, endangerment, breach of property rights, as well as safety and health regulations.
The entertainer has claimed that both the main contractor, and their insurers knew about this residue, and failed to inform him about it.
He also stated that he, his wife Niamh, and their son Michael St James, cannot live at the protected structure, as it is currently unsafe.
Michael Flatley invested over €29 million, after purchasing it in 1999. He has claimed that it will cost him €25 million, and two years to rectify the problems.
Flatley has also brought proceedings against his accountant David Cushion, who he alleges acted as an agent for the insurance firms, who paid him commission. He is suing him for breach of contract.
The dancer is seeking damages in the region of €25 million.
