The trial of Richard Satchwell, whose wife's remains were discovered underneath a stairwell in their east Cork home, will now take place in Dublin.
His lawyers had applied for the case to be moved out of Cork.
The 57-year-old, with an address at Grattan Street in Youghal is charged with murdering his wife Tina at the address on the 20th March 2017.
He reported her missing a number of days later and more than six years later Gardaí discovered her skeletal remains underneath the stairwell of the home the couple shared in Youghal.
Mr. Satchwell is a truck driver originally from Leicester in the UK but he has been a resident in Cork for over 20 years.
The trial remains scheduled for the 28th of April, despite the change of venue.
