Concern has been raised for children’s safety at a Dublin school, after Gardaí issued a warning to two children under the age of 12 amid threats linked to a local gang feud.
Following an anonymous call threatening the young students, their primary school was evacuated last month, and all pupils were sent home as a precautionary measure.
The children, who have now received Garda Information Messages, are among the youngest individuals to be given such security advice.
The warning, thought to be connected to a feud in the south inner city, underscores a risk posed to innocent families caught up in the violence.
Gardaí have declined to confirm specifics regarding individual security arrangements, adhering to standard practice.
