The UFC star shared this clip via Twitter, having previously hinted that a documentary had been in the works, with the clip offering fans a sneak preview into what to expect.
"Conor McGregor Shares Clip From New Netflix Documentary", The Notorious wrote. "The only place to hear my true story, which is only getting started!".
In the clip itself which you can check out below, McGregor is recovering in hospital after sustaining a horrific leg injury in his bout with Dustin Poirier in Las Vegas in July 2021.
The Dubliner is interviewed from his hospital bed for an injury which would ultimately see him out of action for 2 years.
“So like, after the fact, there was speculation that that was a career ender", the narrator asks McGregor.
McGregor agrees, "I thought it was over as well, that is why I flipped into a different mode".
"Now it was the adrenaline as well and I would have calmed down but part of me is like 'imagine it was just taken from me like that'. I would be a different person and it was a bit scary to be honest", he adds. "But it's McGregor forever, that's it and don't you forget it".
Conor McGregor was unable to continue the fight, after his leg crumpled underneath him with a few seconds remaining of round 1.
However, following extensive surgery and rehabilitation, McGregor announced that he would return to the ring later this year, to take on Michael Chandler, as part of the UFC's latest series, 'The Ultimate Fighter'.
