Met Éireann has placed a Status Yellow low temperature and ice warning for this morning, which will remain in place until 11am this morning, with the forecaster stating that this could make travel conditions difficult on the roads, while low temperatures may cause problems for vulnerable people.

The freezing temperatures could cause issues for animal welfare.

Meanwhile, a separate Status Yellow snow-ice warning has been put in place for Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo, which will remain effective until 11am tomorrow.

A Status Yellow snow and ice warning has also been placed for Antrim, Armagh Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry, with warnings of frequent heavy snow showers continuing to push inland, which could impinge travel across this region.

The warning will remain in place until midnight tonight.
