Met Éireann Predicts Bleak Week Ahead With Weather To Take Turn For The Worse

The rain is expected to spread from Munster and south Leinster into east Ulster by the evening, with heavy rain likely for the south. Bright spells are forecasted for Connacht and most of Ulster, with the northwest to receive the best of the weather.

Temperatures are to range between 11 and 14 degrees.

It is to remain dry in Munster and Connacht overnight, with clear spells in the west and southwest. Ulster is to get outbreaks of rain, along with the east Leinster, turning heavy in coastal areas.

The coldest weather is expected for Munster, with temperatures dropping to between 4 and 9 degrees.

As for Thursday, the cloudy weather and rain is set to remain, spreading across the country, with heavy also forecasted. There is also a possibility of spot flooding for the eastern half of the country. 

Thursday evening will see drier weather for North Ulster, with temperatures staying between 9 and 13 degrees. Thursday night is to stay cloudy and wet across several areas, before veering southwards. Temperatures are to drop to between 6 and 9 degrees.

As for the week ahead, there will be a mixture of rain, and sunny spells. Scattered showers have been predicted across the country for Friday, while the east and southeast will receive isolated showers.

As for Saturday, we are in store for a nice autumn's day, with sunny spells and cool temperatures. Scattered showers for the west and north have also been forecasted.

Sunday morning will see rain for the southwest, with heavy rain to spread across the country, with the risks of spot flooding for Munster and Leinster.
