'You Blame Others For Your Problems' - Taoiseach Takes Aim At Perpetrators Of Dublin Carnage

Leo Varadkar met the Garda Commissioner this morning in the wake of the riots.

Speaking with media, the Taoiseach said that Gardaí "will do whatever it takes to fight back waves of ignorance and criminality."

Gardaí say 32 of the 34 people arrested will appear before the courts today.

In all, seven vehicles were damaged by fire including three buses, three Garda patrol cars and a Luas tram.

Eight other Garda vehicles were extensively damaged while 13 properties were attacked causing extensive damage.

A number of Gardaí were also injured during the course of the rioting. One member of the force was hospitalised with serious injuries.

Meanwhile, two people remain in a serious condition in hospital following the horrific knife attack.

They are the five-year-old girl, who remains in a critical condition in CHI Temple Street and a woman, who was believed to have been protecting other children from being attacked.

An Garda Síochána is appealing to any person with any information on this attack to contact investigating Gardaí.

Investigating Gardaí are also appealing to any person who may have mobile phone footage of the attack or the immediate aftermath to make this footage available to An Garda Síochána.
