Experts say Colleges and Universities are facing major challenges when it comes to Artificial Intelligence.
49 students at the University of Galway were caught using ChatGPT to cheat so far this year.
The platform is used by some students to generate essays for them in a matter of seconds.
John Clancy, Founder and CEO of Galvia AI has raised questions around the ethical implications of artificial intelligence:
"If they're able to answer all the questions on that topic, yes they did use the tools that were available to them which is quite smart. They're going to do this, I mean this is not going to go away - if they understand the domain then is that okay? Is that not okay? Yes they've probably gotten there quicker. Some may see that as the lazy way and maybe it is - but if they still understand the topic and the domain, yet they've used the tool to get them there - is that a bad thing?"
