A woman who sustained severe injuries following an assault in Co. Galway has died from her injuries in hospital.
The victim in her 50s, was injured following an incident in Ballinasloe on Monday evening.
She passed away from her injuries at Portiuncula University Hospital on Thursday.
A post-mortem examination will take place in due course. Local Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have any information on this incident to come forward.
