The Oscars have unveiled several of the scheduled performers set to take the stage at next week’s ceremony. Let’s dive into who will be delivering musical moments on Monday night.
Back in January, it was revealed that this year’s event would break tradition by not featuring performances from the Best Original Song nominees. Instead, the Academy opted for artists whose sets would showcase “personal reflections” from the songwriters.
The most buzzworthy announcement so far is that Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, the leading duo of 'Wicked', will be performing on the night. According to Puck, the two stars will kick off the ceremony with a medley from the 'Wicked' film. However, since the musical's songs originated from the Broadway production, none were eligible for a Best Original Song nomination this year.

Interestingly, Erivo had previously dismissed speculation about her involvement, calling it “wishful thinking”, allegedly at this time the performance was not confirmed.
Joining the line-up are Doja Cat, RAYE, and K-pop artist (BLACKPINK) Lisa, who will also take the stage. That said, the Oscars’ official X account has clarified that the trio will not be performing their recent collaboration 'Born Again', a dance-pop track set to feature on Lisa’s upcoming solo album. Instead, they’re promising something “legendary.”

Another confirmed performer is Queen Latifah, though specific details about her set remain under wraps.
The nominees for Best Original Song includes 'El Mal' and 'Mi Camino' (Emilia Pérez), 'Like a Bird' (Sing Sing), 'Never Too Late' (Elton John: Never Too Late), and 'The Journey' (The Six Triple Eight).
Meanwhile, the nominees for Best Original Score include 'The Wild Robot' (Kris Bowers), 'Wicked' (John Powell & Stephen Schwartz), 'Emilia Pérez' (Clement Ducol & Camille), 'The Brutalist' (Daniel Blumberg), and 'Conclave' (Volker Bertelmann).
