Ed Sheeran has revealed the titles of his next five albums, having been inspired by Quentin Taratino to call a halt after 10 releases.
Speaking on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Sheeran shared the title of his upcoming album, 'Play', as well as the titles of his next five records, which he revealed would be ‘Pause’, ‘Fast Forward’, ‘Rewind’ and ‘Stop’.
The singer added that this was an idea that he had when he was 18, going on to explain that once this series is finished, he plans to stop making new albums.
“I wanted to do 10. I’m kind of a bit obsessed with [Quentin] Tarantino, and I heard he was doing 10 films, and he’s got his side projects like Grindhouse,” Sheeran said. “I wanna do my 10 and then every now and then do a side project".
Elsewhere, Sheeran also announced that he is planning to release a posthumous album featuring songs written through different decades of his life, and will arrive following his death.
Previously, Ed Sheeran had shared details of the new direction he had planned to take in his music career, which has seen him work with producer work with producer, Ilya Salmanzadeh, who has previously worked with Ellie Goulding, Ariana Grande, and Sam Smith. More on this here.
