Ed Sheeran has said that he has already completed work on a new album.
The singer-songwriter has confirmed that this new album is finished, and even hinted about what fans can expect from this new release. Last year, Sheeran released '-' ('Subtract'), and 'Autumn Variations', which both saw The National's Aaron Dessner working on production.
“[‘−’ (‘Subtract’)] was obviously a completely different record that didn’t really call for big pop stuff", Sheeran said in a recent interview.
Hinting about what fans can expect from this album, Sheeran remarked: “It feels like I’m getting back into big pop for the first time in a long time. It’s quite exciting".
Sheeran also added that he is planning for a "big promo campaign", having already filmed two music videos, with a further two planned for early next year.
This comes as Sheeran shared his festive song 'Under The Tree' from the animated Netflix movie, That Christmas, directed by Richard Curtis.
On this project, Sheeran said: “It’s nice to have something quintessentially British, but also that you can watch with young children".
