Irish musician Cian Ducrot has won his first Grammy Award for Co-writing SZA’s ‘Saturn’ which won ‘Best R&B Song’ at the 67th Grammy Awrds last night.
The singer-songwriter took to his Instagram to speak about how much the award means to him, writing “I cannot believe it I WON MY FIRST GRAMMY!!! Thank you @sza for writing a masterpiece and asking me to be a part of this song. You are the greatest to ever do it! thank you to the amazing collaborators who made it all happen @robbisel @solomonophonic @monsune.inc @iam_c_lang you guys are genius’ and I’m honoured to have collected this award along side you”

“Never stop dreaming guys! Anything is possible I’m shook I don’t have the words tbh this is just a dream I had and yesterday I lived it I am so blessed and grateful” The Cork-born singer added.
Speaking in an interview with RTÉ, Ducrot said that a picture of the award was “on the home screen of my phone page, it's on every manifestation board or whatever you want to call it. It's on everything that I've ever dreamt of, and I just got one.”
"This is what I was chasing, this is what the dream was. This is the goal and the ambition and it's what drives me, for this kind of stuff to happen and to achieve these things. But it's just to make great music that people will love and connect with."
"If there's some kid in Cork in his bedroom, or in Ireland, or anywhere in a small time and just dreams 'I want to win a Grammy'. You can, you actually can win one. Just do it." Ducrot added.
The Irish star experienced a meteoric rise to fame when videos of him performing his songs with a choir went viral on TikTok. His debut album ‘Victory’ reached No. 1 in both Ireland and the UK, and received over 801 billion streams.
Ducrot is just off the back of touring North-America with Calum Scott and is set to play a number of sold-out dates across Europe, including two shows in Dublin’s 3Arena and a huge homecoming gig at Cork’s Live at the Marquee
