Lady Gaga has shared details of Michael Polansky's romantic proposal in her latest single, 'Blade Of Grass'.

The track features on the 'Poker Face' singer's new album, 'Mayhem', which arrives today (March 7). This album will see Lady Gaga explore her personal life with this songs. Such moments include the romantic proposal of marriage from her fiancé, Michael Polanksy.

The couple have been together since 2019.

 "good people"

Speaking about her album, Lady Gaga said, "I have good people in my life. I fell in love with Michael".

"As a songwriter you need life to inspire your writing and if everything is promotion, then I’ll write about promotion and I won’t write about that special moment I shared with you where Michael asked me how I would want him to propose to me one day", she added.

On the proposal, Gaga revealed, "We were in our backyard and I said: ‘Just take a blade of grass and wrap it around my finger’ and then I wrote ‘Blade of Grass’ because I remembered the way his face looked and I remembered the grass in the backyard and I remember thinking he should use that really long grass that’s in the centre of the backyard".

News of the pair's engagement went public at last year's Olympic Games, after Lady Gaga was spotted introducing Michael as her fiancé to former French Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal.

Lady Gaga explained in the interview that for this album, she has "so much" of herself into the new album and she wants to leave a legacy of being a "real artist".

"Something I want my fans to know now, which is why I said I love being Lady Gaga, is I actually returned back to my artistry recently in a huge way of making this album", she said. "I put so much of myself as a musician, as a producer, as a songwriter into everything ... And that is who Lady Gaga is to me".

"Maybe to someone else it might be the meat dress or something that I did that they remember as me. But for me, I always want to be remembered for being a real artist and someone that cares so much about a life of art".

Lady Gaga produced this album alongside Polansky, and Andrew Watt, as well as featuring Cirkut and Gesaffelstein. More on this here.
