Yungblud has claimed that his "close friend" Lewis Capaldi is putting together some "great" new music.
The Scottish singer has not been seen in the public eye since his live performance in Glastonbury in 2023, taking a break from the spotlight in order to focus on his mental health. Capaldi's performance was disrupted by vocal tics, a symptom of his tourette's diagnosis.
“I have heard his new music, and it sounds great. He is getting his mental health right", Yungblud said to The Sun's Bizarre column.
Yungblud was speaking while promoting his comeback single 'Hello Heaven, Hello', which marked his first track since 'Breakdown' in 2024. The singer looks set to release his first new album since his self-titled record in 2022.
Speaking further about Capaldi, Yungblud continued: “I love him, as me and him have been on this ride together. We experienced it at the same time, and he is perhaps the only friend who knows what I am going through, in the same way I know what he’s going through".
“When I was making this album, I was really close with Lewis, and Lewis was like, ‘Just f****** sing, man’. And we have a massive British actress in the video. It’s going to be iconic".
Capaldi and Yungblud have been close friends for a few years now, with both having openly discussed how they have inspired one another throughout their careers, with the latter claiming that the 'Someone You Loved' singer inspired his latest single.
