Rihanna has hinted at plans to release a new album.
The 'Umbrella' singer whose last album, Anti, arrived in January 2016, has insisted that she will not release anything until she has the perfect album, stating that she is still happy to promote and perform in the meantime.
"I was just like, 'No, it's not me. It's not right. It's not matching my growth. It's not matching my evolution. I can't do this. I can't stand by this. I can't perform this for a year on tour.", Rihanna said in a recent interview.
The singer has stated that she wants her next album to imbue perfection.
"After a while, I looked at it, and I was like, this much time away from music needs to count for the next thing everyone hears. It has to count. It has to matter", she explained.
Calling for patience from her fans, Rihanna added: "After waiting eight years, you might as well just wait some more".
Rihanna's comments come amid rumours that she was set to headline Glastonbury 2025, following reports that she was also set to announced a huge residency at London Stadium for later this year. This residency was set to begin in July, according to sources. More on this here.
