Taylor Swift made history, becoming the most decorated artist in Billboard Music Awards history.
The singer who recently completed her record breaking Eras Tour, won 10 awards, including Top Billboard 200 Album for The Tortured Poets Department, and Top Artist. Overall, she has now garnered 49 awards.
In a pre recorded acceptance speech, Taylor Swift said: "This is, like, the nicest early birthday present you could have given me, so thank you very much".
"I love it. It's exactly what I wanted", she added. "Everything that's happened with the Eras Tour and The Tortured Poets Department, I just have to say thank you". Check out the full list of winners here.
Following the conclusion of her Eras Tour, it emerged that it had grossed over $2 billion in ticket sales, $2,077,618,725 to be precise, which smashed the previous record held by Coldplay's Music of the Spheres tour, which passed the $1 billion mark the previous Summer.
Elsewhere, Taylor Swift was also named Spotify's most-streamed artist for 2024, having had more than 26.6 billion streams. She is followed by The Weekend, Bad Bunny, Drake and Billy Eilish, in that order. More on this here.
