An 11-year-old girl has died after she was struck by a car as she got off a school bus outside Castledawson, Co Derry yesterday afternoon.
The PSNI said the girl was hit by the car after she got off the bus on the Hillhead Road shortly after 4pm.
Inspector Cherith Adair said there was a large number of people in the area at the time, and appealed to anyone with video footage not to share it on social media.
She said anyone with footage or images from the scene should forward it to the PSNI.
The Hillhead Road was closed for a technical examination but has since reopened.
