Emergency services responded to an alert raised shortly after 7 a.m. The body was found at the junction where Vernon Avenue meets Clontarf Road, a popular coastal area in the city.

The woman’s remains have been removed from the scene, and Gardaí have confirmed that an investigation is underway.

At this time, no further details have been released, and authorities have not provided any comment on the circumstances surrounding the death.

This incident marks the second recovery of a woman's body from Dublin's waters within the past 24 hours.

On Monday, emergency responders were called to Portmarnock, where a woman in her 60s was found unresponsive. She was later pronounced dead.

When asked if the two deaths could be connected, Gardaí declined to comment, stating that both incidents are under investigation.

Further updates are expected as enquiries continue.
