DUBLIN
We've had final tallies in many of the Dublin constituencies and the picture is strong for Sinn Féin
Not only is the party holding all its seats in the capital but it looks like making gains in Dublin South Central - and possibly in North West and Fingal East too.
The Green Party meanwhile is now facing the very real prospect of an electoral wipeout - Roderic O'Gorman and Catherine Martin are the only two in contention and they are far from guaranteed
The other story there is the underperformance of Clare Daly who looks well off the pace.
Meath West too nearing a full tally - there will be one Sinn Féin and one Aontu and then the final seat looks to be a fight between Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil
Nationally Sinn Féin is performing better than expected - in areas like Dublin North West, Wicklow Wexford, Clare and Offaly they're performing better than expected and could pick up extra seats.
Dublin Fingal East too where they may have outpolled Fine Gael
Fine Gael too is seeing many of its new candidates poll well
While Fianna Fáil will be disappointed, at this early stage is looks like the party will be the third largest in the next Dáil
CORK
EU Commissioner Michael McGrath says it will be a long process.
Nemo Rangers GAA for Cork North and Cork South Central and Mallow GAA for Cork East, Cork North-West and Cork South-West.
Votes are being tallied throughout the morning and already there are clear trends emerging.
There are 20 Dail seats to be filled in Cork
GALWAY
Independent TD Noel Grealish is back in the reckoning for a seat in Galway West, with 63% of boxes tallied.
Deputy Grealish has more than doubled his share to 10% as boxes on the eastern side of the constituency are opened.
Others still polling strongly are Mairead Farrell 13%, Catherine Connolly (Ind) 12%, Jogn Connolly (FF) 12% and Noel Thomas (Ind Ire) 11%. Fine Gael’s Sean Kyne (10%) and Hildegarde Naughton 9%.
Broadcaster Gráinne Seoige (FF) is on 5%; Helen Ogbu (Labour) is on 3%; Senator Pauline O’Reilly (Green) is on 3%; Eibhlín Seoighthe (Soc Dem) is on 4%, and Mike Cubbard Ind is on 4%.
LIMERICK
As 100% of the Limerick county constituency boxes have been tallied. Those making gains are Patrick O’Donovan (11,454 votes), Richard O’Donoghue (10,211 votes),and Niall Collins (8,951).
Joanne Collins, the only woman running for Sinn Féin in the city or county, is looking good to take the fourth seat, with 5,883 votes.
