The FAI have been hit with a fine – along with the English FA – due to pre-match issues prior to England and Ireland’s Nations League meeting in November.

The trip to London ended in a 5-0 thrashing thanks to a quintet of second-half goals following Liam Scales’ dismissal for two bookings.
September’s clash at the Aviva saw a number of home supporters boo God Save The King prior to kick-off, resulting in the FAI being fined €10,000.
The association have now been fine yet again – increased to €12,500 – for the booing of the British anthem prior to kick-off in Wembley.
The English association has also been punished for a repeat offence following their own supporters’ conduct in September and November.
For fans booing Amhrán na bhFiann last month, the English authorities have been hit with a €15,00 fine.
Additionally, the FA have been hit with an extra fine due to fans’ throwing objects onto the pitch during the course of play.
Paper airplanes rained down in parts of the London stadium during the Nations League clash, with the offence setting the FA back €8,375.
Heimir Hallgrimsson‘s side will continue their Nations League exploits in March with a promotion/relegation play-off with Bulgaria of League C.
