The western counties are get some sunny spells for a time, but cloud and rain outbreaks are predicted for the afternoon, extending south-eastwards later.

Rain is expected to spread south-eastwards over Ireland on Sunday evening, turning cold in the northwest, with temperatures to hit between 2 and 10 degrees.
