Tusla has confirmed it will not make public the review it is carrying out into the case of Kyran Durnin.
The schoolboy, who would now be eight years old, is missing, presumed dead.
Tusla is currently concluding an internal review into its interactions with Kyran Durnin and his family.
The review is expected to be shared with Minister for Children Roderic O'Gorman before the end of this week.
In a statement this afternoon, a spokesperson for child and family agency said that in accordance with standard practice in sensitive situations, and in the context of the live investigation by Gardaí, and the highly sensitive nature of the personal information involved, the review will not be made public.
It is now one week since a search at the former Durnin family home and adjoining wasteland was stood down.
The Garda investigation continues.
