A man in his 20s remains in Garda custody this morning following a violent stabbing attack in Dublin’s Stoneybatter area that left three men injured.

The attacks took place yesterday afternoon across multiple locations, with emergency services responding to calls between 2:30 pm and 3:00 pm. Gardaí and paramedics attended the scene of incidents on Oxmantown Road, Carnew Street, and a house on Niall Street.

All three victims were taken to hospital for treatment. Two of the men sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while the condition of the third victim has not been disclosed.

A suspect was arrested a short time later on Manor Street and is currently being held at a Garda station in north Dublin for questioning. Authorities have not yet disclosed any potential motive for the attacks.

Gardaí are continuing their investigation and have conducted door-to-door inquiries in the area. Officers are urging residents and businesses to check any CCTV, doorbell cameras, or mobile phone footage that may assist in their inquiries.

Newly appointed Minister for Justice Jim O’Callaghan has praised emergency responders for their swift action in containing the situation and providing urgent medical care to the victims.

Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to contact Gardaí.
