The national forecaster has said they expect a cloudy start to the day, with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, with east Ulster worst effected, before later moving across parts of north Leinster as well.

This afternoon is to also bring cloudy weather across Ulster and north Leinster, with rain to be light and patchy.

However by the evening, this cloud is to break up and allow for decent, sunny spells which will become more widespread. Highest temperatures are to remain between 10 and 15 degrees, with moderate northwest winds.

Aside from patchy spells of drizzle for Ulster and north Leinster, everywhere else is to have dry weather. Temperatures are to stay between 5 and 9 degrees, with light northwesterly winds, and clearer skies.
