Schools in Co Clare are expected to reopen in the morning after a security threat led to some closures earlier today.
Gardaí have confirmed that threats emailed to several schools overnight were not credible and that there is no ongoing risk to the public.
Several schools in Ennis and Shannon remained closed this morning, while others sent students home following an email sent in the early hours.
The email included the name and address of an individual in the county, and its contents have been circulated on social media. Gardaí are investigating the incident and remain in contact with affected schools.
No arrests have been made at this time.
