Gardai in Dublin and Galway are investigating after two lives were lost on the roads in crashes, over the last 24 hours.

On Sunday lunchtime, the M50 in Dublin  was closed for a number of hours, after a collision between a motorcyclist and a car, close to the Lucan/Palmerstown exit.
It took the life of the motorcyclist, a man in his 50's, who was pronounced dead at the scene. He's been named as Christian Rasmussen, who was living in Co Carlow.
Tributes to Mr. Rasmussen have been posted online, by motorcycle groups.
Meanwhile, A man in his 20s has died after a three-car collision on the R336 in Bearna, Co. Galway, late on Sunday night. It happened around 11:25 pm.

The driver of one vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body has been taken to University Hospital Galway for a post-mortem.

Gardai are appealing to witnesses to both tragedies, or anyone who may have dashcam footage to come forward.
