Irish actor Aidan Turner, has claimed that filming for hit Disney+ adaption, Rivals, was "so much craic".
The Dublin native made these comments while speaking at Advertising Week Europe, where he also stated that he and the rest of the cast became "pals".
"Even from the first week, I knew something was different once it was cast, and I hadn’t met a lot of the cast before but I kind of had an idea we might gel", the Poldark star said. "But just immediately… (we) just became pals, and it became so much craic".
Elsewhere, Turner also spoke about the reaction that this programme has received.
"Yeah, it felt different", Turner said. "People have come up to me, and it’s never happened before… everyone’s come up and said it looks like so much fun – I want to be in it. And they’re not actors".
"I think that that’s something that we all felt on set when we were shooting it".
Rivals which is set against the backdrop and shocking conduct of the power crazy social elite of 1980s England, looks at the ruthless world of independent England in 1986. It went on to receive six Bafta nominations, including one for Memorable Moment. The awards ceremony takes place on May 11.
Back in December, it was also confirmed that the hit show was to be renewed for a second series by Disney+. More on this here.
