Amber Heard Does Not Blame Public For Seeing Her & Ex Hubby Depp as Hollywood Brats""

Earlier this month, Johnny successfully sued his ex wife over an article published in the Washington Post back in 2018, which implied that he sexually and violently abused Ms Heard during their two year marriage.

The jury found in favour of the Pirates of the Carribean star, awarding him $15 million in damages.

Breaking her silence for the first time since the court battle, Amber Heard has claimed that she has been hugely affected by the whole ordeal, adding that social media played an integral part in the case.

When it was suggested to her that people were "frankly disgusted" with how the trial played out in court, Amber Heard replied, "Absolutely. I would not blame the average person for looking at this and how this has been covered and thinking that this is Hollywood brats at their worst".

She continued, "But what people don’t understand is that it is actually so much bigger than that. This is not only about our First Amendment right to speak".

Adding that social media played a key part in the case, Amber Heard added that it had become, "an example of that gone haywire, gone amok".

"the most humiliating"

Amber Heard also claimed that she faced public abuse on most days in between the trial, calling it  "the most humiliating and horrible thing I have ever been through".

Arriving into the courthouse every day, Heard also claimed that, "Every single day I passed three, four, sometimes six city blocks lined with people holding signs saying ‘Burn the witch’ and ‘Death to Amber’.

"After three-and-a-half weeks I took the stand and saw a courtroom packed full of Captain Jack Sparrow fans who were vocal, energised", she added. "I have never felt more removed from my own humanity. I felt less than human".

While insisting that she will stand by her testimony "to my dying day", Heard also accused Mr Depp of lying in court when he claimed that he did not hit her.

She also reflected on her own behaviour, "I did do and say horrible, regrettable things throughout my relationship. I behaved in horrible, almost unrecognisable to myself ways. So much regret".

"I have freely, openly and voluntarily talked about what I did. I talked about the horrible language, I talked about being pushed to the extent where I didn’t even know the difference between right and wrong".

"I will always continue to feel like I was a part of this, like I was the other half of this relationship – because I was. And it was ugly and could be very beautiful".

"We were awful to each other. I made a lot of mistakes, a lot of mistakes. I have always told the truth".
