Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Phillips was the oldest contestant to take part in the show aged 78. She left the jungle at Gwyrch Castle after receiving the lowest number of votes from the public.
The ITV show added this to Twitter.
Speaking after departing the camp, Arlene Phillips said that she was "in a way relieved".
"You know, I want to see my family, but (I’m) emotional because of everything this has been, the highs and the lows, it’s been something in my life that I never imagined doing and it’s been extraordinary", she said.
Revealing that it had been "much harder" than she expected, Phillips also added, "I’d psyched myself up, I was so prepared for it… I’d focused on why I was doing this and what I want to achieve and get out of it you know for my granddaughter, to try to show I was fearless but it is hard".
Phillips also said that she hopes her friend Naughty Boy wins the show.
