Filmed on Achill Island and Inis Mór, the Martin McDonagh directed film will be very well represented at next month's ceremony, with stars Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Kerry Condon, and Barry Keoghan all getting nods.
Overall, the Banshees of Inisherin has received nods for Best Film, Outstanding British Film, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Actor (Farrell), Best Supporting Actor (Gleeson and Keoghan), and Best Supporting Actress (Condon).
Other noteworthy nominees include Normal People star Paul Mescal getting a Bafta nod for Aftersun, while Daryl McCormack getting nominated for her role in Good Luck To You, Leo Grande.
Elsewhere, Irish language film An Cailín Ciúin (The Quiet Girl) has been nominated for Best Film Not In The Irish Language, with director Colm Báiread in the hat for Best Director and Adapted Screenplay for his part in the film version of author Claire Keegan's Foster.
Another Irish film getting the nod also includes The Wonder, for Outstanding British Film and Adapted Screenplay.
While voting will continue until 13 January, the ceremony will take place on in London on February 19.
