The new series of the motorcycle cookery duo, will continue to be showcased on BBC Two, despite by the death of Dave Myers last week. Myers passed away last Friday aged 66, having been diagnosed with cancer in 2022.
The latest episode from the series aired last night on BBC Two, with a post on Instagram confirming that the show would continue to be showcased on the channel going forward.
“Despite such sad times we know that Dave would have wanted you to continue to enjoy the magical series that he shot with Si last year”, the post stated.
“We’d like to thank everyone from all over the world, who has reached out with messages of love and support over the last few days”, it added. “Every one of them has been read and truly appreciated”.

King and Myers’ first appearance on TV came in 2004 with The Hairy Bikers Cookbook, a show which was part cooking and part travel, with further shows including The Hairy Bikers Ride Again, The Hairy Bikers’ Food Tour Of Britain, The Hairy Bikers: Mums Know Best, The Hairy Bikers’ Cook Off and Hairy Bikers: Best of British.
Overall, the pair published 25 cookery books.
Account statements also reported that Dave Myers’ companies were worth almost £1.5 million when he died.
In accounts filed in January, Myers’ production company Sharpletter, which he co-owned with his wife Liliana, had assets worth £1.4 million.
Another company that he set up with King, Hairy Bikers Television, was worth up to £100,000, according to documents filed to the UK’s Companies House last December.
