However, rumours of marital problems began have recently been splashed across the US tabloids, with the pair being recently spotted not wearing their wedding rings in public.
While they were engaged, Spears and Asghari had announced they were expecting their first child, however they later revealed that they suffered a miscarriage.
Sam Asghari who had supported Spears during her mental health struggles, and her campaign to end her conservatorship with her father Jamie, donning a Free Britney t shirt at the court cases, filed for divorce.
Spears has yet to speak about the separation on social media, with her memoir 'The Woman In Me' set to arrive in October.
