Last Friday, Dion performed a beautiful rendition of Edith Piaf's classic 'A L'Amour', her first on stage performance since her Stiff Person syndrome diagnosis in 2022. This diagnosis forced Dion to pull the plug on her Courage World Tour that year.
In terms of the chart, two live LPs are currently neck and neck in the race for this week's top spot, which sees Blur's Live At Wembley Stadium fighting it out with Swedish heavy metal outfit Ghost, with their album Rite Here Rite Now, which is the soundtrack to their concert film of the same name.
This was recorded at LA's Kia Forum which showcased their live show, which could see Ghost grab a fourth top 10 album in the UK. They enjoyed similar success with 2018’s Prequelle (10), 2022’s IMPERA (2) and 2023 release Phantomime (8).
As for Blur, they are currently bidding for their eighth UK Number One album, having previously reigned supreme in the charts, with Parklife (1994), The Great Escape (1995), blur (1997), 13 (1999), Think Tank (2003), The Magic Whip (2015) and The Ballad of Darren (2023).
