Cher has said that her next album is likely to be her last.
The 'Believe' singer spoke about her upcoming album, while supporting her memoir, Cher: The Memoir, Part One at the Lyceum Theatre in London. In her memoir, the singer has made several allegations against her ex husband Sonny Bono. More on this here.
In October last year, Cher released her first festive record, 'Christmas', her first album to feature her own music in 10 years, having released 'Closer To The Truth' in 2013.
Saying that she is "really excited" about her upcoming record, Cher revealed that it will "probably my last album that I’m gonna do".
“They are great songs and I’m just really excited that I’m doing it", she added. “I’m really excited to be doing anything now".
Elsewhere, Cher also reflected on her career in music, which began with her debut solo album, 'All I Really Want To Do' in 1965.
“I’m older than dirt now, OK?” she joked. “I’m the oldest person I meet in almost every room unless I’m in an old folks’ home. I keep having to tell these [younger] girls like, ‘Get over yourself, get out there. You’ve got your whole life ahead of you".
She added: “I don’t care if you’re 50. I’d give anything to be 60 again. I was a f****** hottie! It’s weird too because I know I’m older, but I don’t know how to feel it. I don’t know how to feel any different than the way I’ve always felt".
Cher who is currently dating 38 year old artist and producer Alexander 'AE' Edwards, added that she “like[s] hanging with younger people, not just men”.
“I like young people because a lot of my friends don’t want to have that much fun. They can just go off and be old fogies", she said.
