Irish star Lisa Hogan, known for starring in Clarkson's Farm, is to publish her first book, which promises to take readers through a year of Britain's "favourite farm".

Hogan, who is also the partner of the presenter, Jeremy Clarkson, will publish this book, Animals and Other Eejits, which will see her speak about her attempts to disrupt the mushroom market, as well as trying to navigate tractor and red tape disasters.

The book also includes comical anecdotes about animals which have captured viewers' attention, including cows, goats and pigs.

"Barely a day goes by at Diddly Squat without a brilliant or bizarre adventure", Hogan said. "I'm so excited to share this book of revelations, tips, and trip-ups".

She continued: "It tells the story of a year of crops, breeding, overalls, and offspring on the farm, where bale twine is as valuable as a Wall Street commodity. It's been a joy to write and I'm thrilled to be working with the good people at Penguin Random House to bring it into the world".

Lisa Hogan will also share stories about her early childhood, growing up in Dublin's Sandymount, as well as discussing her work as an actress, model and sculptor.

Animals and Other Eejits, will be published by Century, part of Penguin Random House, arriving on the shelves on October 9.

Lisa Hogan is to also return for a fourth series of Clarkson's Farm, due to premiere on 23 May.

Last November, Lisa Hogan enjoyed a sing-a-long with her partner Jeremy Clarkson at the Farmer's Dog pub, where they were also joined by The Corrs. More on this here.
