This comes after pre sale tickets for next August's shows went up for sale this morning, with thousands of music lovers hopeful of securing tickets.
Coldplay who had already confirmed dates for Dublin's Croke Park on August 29 and 30, will now perform at the venue on September 1 and 2 with tickets for all three dates going on general sale from 10am Friday.
The band tweeted this message, “Due to huge demand in the presale, a third Dublin show has been added for September 1, 2024".
This comes after fans had already taken to social media to vent their anger at being unable to access the Ticketmaster site due to some technical glitches.
With over 200,000 fans signing up for pre sale tickets, some reported receiving error messages, and being pushed to the back of the queue when it came to their turn to access tickets.
“Everything is in working order, and tickets are selling as normal", a Ticketmaster spokesperson said.
"As per our advice on social media, fans should clear their cache/cookies and ensure they aren't using any VPN software on their device/WiFi", they added. "Alternatively, they can use a different browser/device or use mobile data instead of WiFi".
