British actor Danny Dyer and his daughter Dani have announced they will be running in and investing in their own caravan park, as they host their own Sky TV show.
This project will see the former Eastenders star reminisce with his daughter about his childhood holidays in the UK, in a project which is titled, The Dyers' Caravan Park, and will be set on the Isle Of Sheppey in Kent.
Father and daughter will soon have their work cut out, as they encounter questionable plumbing, demanding customers and rogue acts. The pair will also try to navigate the restaurant menu.
The Dyers' Caravan Park will run for six episodes, and will be produced by Expectation, a company responsible for Clarkson's Farm, Dynamo Is Dead and Miracles.
Speaking about this project, executive director of unscripted originals at Sky, Phil Edgar-Jones had this to say.
"The great British holiday is about to get a turbo-charged makeover like never before as The Dyers’ Caravan Park prepares to open its gates", he said. "If anyone can make caravanning cool again it's Danny and Dani, and we cannot wait to see them bring the fun".
Elsewhere, the creative director of entertainment at Expectation, Ben Wicks, has said that he thrilled to be working with the Dyers.
"We are thrilled about working with Danny and Dani Dyer as they try to save the great British summer holiday", Wicks said. "Their passion for caravanning is unlimited, yet their experience of running a caravan park is extremely limited".
"Based on our extensive research, running a caravan park, if you don’t know what you are doing, is quite frankly a nightmare".
"We feel this is the perfect setting for a series as rich in comedy, jeopardy and warmth - even if the weather isn’t - and we’re delighted that Sky feel the same".
The Dyers' Caravan Park will air via Sky Max and Now later this year.
Danny Dyer had previously presented hooliganism documentary, The Real Football Factories, as well as BBC game show, The Wall. Earlier this month, it was confirmed that a new football agent thriller starring Dyer, Three Quick Breaths, had begun filming in Ireland.
The film sees Dyer star as a football agent Jimmy Banks under pressure, as he attempts to secure one final payday for his star player, before his life, player's reputation are in tatters.
His daughter Dani won the fourth season of Love Island, alongside Jack Fincham. Dani is now engaged to West Ham footballer, Jarrod Bowen.
