It was Emerdale who earned the jungle bragging rights over Coronation Street as Danny Miller beat runner up Simon Gregson to be crowned king of the jungle in Gwyrch Castle, North Wales on Sunday evening.
Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge finished in third place earlier that night. By doing so she beat her husband Wayne who competed in the show back in 2016, finishing fifth.
Miller was handed the winner's sceptre and a floral crown as he was crowned king of the jungle.
The shows presenters Ant And Dec took to Twitter to congratulate Miller.
"All hail Sir Cry-A-Lot our King of the Castle!!", they wrote.
The man of the moment had this to say, "I mean honestly, from the bottom of my heart and my family’s heart – thank you so much, this is just the best thing that’s ever happened to me, bar my son. So yeah, I can’t believe it, I’m shocked".
"I never thought I’d be in this position, I barely thought I’d make it through the first two or three votes or so".
Danny Miller entered the jungle three weeks after becoming a father to a baby boy Albert. He revealed that he entered the show to secure his newborn's financial future.
"I have made no secret about the fact that I wanted to be able to give and set him up for a good future. I wasn’t financially set for that and this is an opportunity to do that", he said.
"It would set me and my family up. I feel like I have done it. I feel proud of myself and I hope my family are as well".
