Anora, the dark fairytale starring Mikey Madison, was the big winner at this year's Oscars in LA.

The movie, which tells the story of a sex worker who elopes with the son of a Russian oligarch, was nominated in six Oscars categories, winning five of them. These wins include Best Picture, Best Director for Sean Baker, Best Original Screenplay, Best Editing, as well as the Best Actress accolade for Mikey Madison.

Other winners on the night included Adrien Brody, who scooped up the Best Actor award for his exploits in the post-war epic, The Brutalist. This win comes over two decades on from his maiden Best Actor win for his role for The Pianist.

As for The Brutalist, the film won awards for Original Score and Cinematography.

Emilia Perez, which received 13 nominations, only won in two categories, with Zoe Saldana winning Best Supporting Actress, and the soundtrack El Mal winning Best Original Song.

The Best Supporting Actor went to Kieran Culkin, for his role in comedy-drama, A Real Pain, the favourite in that category.
