Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the ‘Stone Cold’ singer was asked if they would consider going on tour again in the future.
Lovato did not give a concrete answer, saying that they were hesitant due to health complications.
“It takes a toll on your body, I’m not 15 anymore.” the popstar said.
Lovato has previously spoken about their serious back issues and the toll performing takes on their physical health.
As well as this, Lovato also suffers from vision and hearing complications due to an overdose in 2018.
Lovato had previously stated on Instagram in 2022, that they would be retiring from touring once their ‘Holy Fvck’ tour ended.
The ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ star is still committed to making music, and is reportedly working on a project at the moment. They still do one-off performances and TV appearances every now and then.
"Sometimes I think it’s time for me to move on, but I’m in this weird position in my career because I still rely on music for my income." Lovato explains. "Now that I’ve dealt with those daddy issues, I don’t need the industry as much as I once did, and I’m proud of myself for getting here."
Later in the interview, Lovato is asked whether they would allow their children to get involved in the music industry.
“I’d say, ‘Let’s study music theory and prepare you for the day you turn 18, because it’s not happening before that.” they assert. “Not because I don’t believe in you or love you or want you to be happy, but because I want you to have a childhood, the childhood that I didn’t have.'”
Lovato has opened up about their struggle growing up as a child actor. They got their first large role at just 6 years old in ‘Barney & Friends’ and would later grow to become one of Disney Channel's biggest stars, featuring in ‘Sonny with a Chance’, and ‘Camp Rock’.
